The line of sight is an imaginary reference line that extends straight forward, perpendicular to the viewers eye.
Hold your hand up vertical and bring it to your nose. Slowly move your hand forward as far as you can without dropping it. The imaginary, vertical line, formed by your hand, will continue forward as far as you can see. This is the Line of Sight.
