I put DeepL to the test with Chinese and English. As we know, Chinese is notoriously difficult to translate. But guess what? DeepL blew my expectations out of the water!
The translation is quick, taking less than a minute to translate a document of less than 10 pages. The test is divided into two aspects: different file formats and different areas of translation quality.

The document is a PDF about PIKA prompt words, and when using DeepL to translate individual words, the translations may appear strange. For instance, ‘pika’ is the name of a software, but it refers to itself as the ‘mouse rabbit’, causing it to mistranslate ‘shot’ as ‘shot’. Additionally, there is the ‘crab shot’, which even photography enthusiasts may not be familiar with.
The file can be translated in 20 seconds and opened for reading, but subscription is required for modification as the PPT is encrypted. Although some people may criticize it, I believe it is a good product worth purchasing. It is important to value knowledge in order for companies to improve.

As someone who works in branded retail, I can confirm that the current translations are accurate from a business perspective. The only issue was with the abbreviation LW, which was not translated correctly last week. The software correctly understands basic abbreviations such as TBC, but it mistranslates the brand name ‘Juicy’ as ‘juicy’.
Surprisingly, it even translates tables within PowerPoint presentations accurately, saving a lot of time. However, if the table is in picture format, it cannot be translated.
