OVERVIEW

Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:During my playing days, I experienced my own sports injuries and met physicians, therapists and athletic trainers who helped me get back in the game. Although they all greatly influenced my decision to pursue a career in sports medicine, no one has inspired me more than my parents. They taught me that success in any undertaking, including medicine, is a process, not a status. It is a process that includes hard work, dedication and a commitment to continuous learning. Most importantly, true success is the ability to help others make positive changes in their lives. What I want my patients to know about me:I serve as Medical Director of Sports Medicine for WellSpan Health and as the WellSpan Orthopedics York Site Director. I am privileged to lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practitioners, therapists, licensed athletic trainers and nutritionists committed to providing comprehensive sports medicine care to individual athletes, local teams and anyone else who engages in a physically active lifestyle. We are passionate about helping you reach your goals. We focus on the whole continuum of sports medicine care from injury prevention to surgery to safe return to work or play. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I strive to be the best husband and the father I can be. I am blessed to be a member of an active family. Swimming, soccer and taekwondo keep my family moving. I have served as a youth soccer coach, baseball coach and basketball coach. I am active in the community and volunteer as a board member for FCA-York, Penn Academies and for the York- Young Revolution as the organization's Medical and Safety Officer. I enjoy weight training and traveling with my family. We love spending time outdoors and try to set aside a little time each year for scuba diving and hunting.

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
