How many Naydra scales do I need? ›

Two of Naydra's Scales, as well as ten Acorns, are needed to upgrade the Tunic of the Wild to its first tier at a Great Fairy Fountain.

Naydra's Scales can be obtained by shooting the blue spirit Naydra with an arrow in any location, besides the mouth, horn or claws. When dropped in the water in the Spring of Wisdom, it will cause the door at the back to open, giving Link access to the Jitan Sa'mi Shrine.

Naydra is first found at the Spring of Wisdom at the peak of [[Mount Lanayru] corrupted by Malice. Follow it and use your arrows to free it of its corruption. After this, Naydra is found just north of Mount Lanayru in the Lanayru Bay appearing first around 12:00AM and heading down by around 6:00AM.

To craft Dragon armor (including a shield), you'll need a total of 12 dragon scales and 6 dragon bones; this figure goes up if you decide you want to make weapons or scaled armor as well. Dragons drop 1 to 3 of both scales and bones when they die.

You can get Naydra's Scale by striking the body of the large frosty sky dragon that soars above the Necluda region, the spirit of ice known as Naydra. Common Locations: Necluda Sky. Necluda Depths.

To get a Dragon Fang, players need to shoot an arrow at the dragon's mouth. However, this has to be right on the mouth as shooting too high or too low will generate a Dragon Scale instead. The only way to get a Dragon Fang is to: Fly close to the dragon and level Link so that he's in-line with the dragon's jaw.

Naydra, the Great Ice Spirit Dragon, can be found patrolling around the great Mount Lanayru, and will make a sweeping loop around the southeastern part of Hyrule, from Kakariko to Hateno, before looping underground.

Upgrades: Use two shards of horn from Naydra for a level four upgrade on the Tunic of the Wild.

The Dragon Scale is one of the new Evolution Items that can be used in conjunction with Pokemon Candy to evolve some of the Gen 1 Pokemon to new Gen 2 evolutions. Currently, the applicable Pokemon for this item is Seadra, who can be evolved into Kingdra using a Dragon Scale and 100 Horsea Pokemon Candy.
