Is Procreate really only $10? ›

Given that apps like pages cost $10, and I find Procreate a whopping lot more useful than pages... I don't think a download price of $8 or $10 is outrageous. It's still the best art value money can buy. Compare it to the cost of ANY desktop app.

My biggest complaint about Procreate is that it can not create high-resolution (300+ dpi) images in large print (20+ inches).

The Bottom Line. Procreate is a premium quality, low-cost iPad app for artists of every kind. Anyone can use it to create 2D artwork, paint on 3D models, animate, and more.

There are many many artists here using it exclusively for work.

Do you need Photoshop with Procreate? Depends on what you're creating. If you're into basic drawing and sketching, Procreate might be enough. But if you're a professional artist needing advanced editing, photo manipulation, vector graphics, or extensive text tools, Photoshop and the Adobe family are best.

As with all iOS apps, all your Procreate work is contained within the app bundle. If you delete the app, this will always delete all of your work, custom brushes, palettes and settings. If you've deleted your app, the only way to retrieve your work is from an existing backup.
