Admitted Student Statistics - AAVMC (2024)

The American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges has developed the Profile of Admitted Students (PAS) tool to help prospective students understand the admissions landscape at each college of veterinary medicine to which they are applying. This tool, as a guideline, provides data from the veterinary schools on individual applicant pool size, GPA averages, GRE scores, and more.

The application process can be an intense period in a pre-veterinary student’s life. The need for information about colleges is paramount. The Admitted Student Statistics tool provides detailed information about AAVMC US member institutions, allowing applicants to better understand applicant trends and providing an opportunity to benchmark their individual applicant profile against these trends. The creation of this tool provides pre-veterinary students a reliable source of information that will contribute to informed decision making on where to apply.

This data is gathered on an annual basis from AAVMC member institutions. Each applicant pool is unique, which will explain variations in each of the data points included in this tool.
