Artistic Behaviors

Artistic Behaviors are how anyone can develop skills that are required of any working artist. You might not be aware that you are behaving or thinking like an artist but if you reflect on your process you can see how you are actually learning to become an artist. These Artistic Behaviors were developed by Melissa Purtee and Ian Sands at Apex High School in Apex, NC. They wanted to develop the Studio Habits of Mind into a format that can be utilized in the secondary art classroom.
