A Capella Club

We want to learn acapella songs and perform at places like nursing homes and homeless shelters. We also want to perform for school events.

Advancement of Neuroscience Research Club

Our club is dedicated to advancing the frontiers of neuroscience research through passionate fundraising efforts by uniting individuals who share a profound interest in the brain. We aim to support groundbreaking studies in neuroscience.

Afro Culture Club

To celebrate African and all African diaspora’s cultures and educate on the diaspora’s foods, games, history, etc.

Art Club

To set aside time after school for people to come and relax and work on art. We want to foster a relaxing and judgement-free environment where people can have fun and express themselves.

Asian Culture Club

To provide a haven of cultural diversity where students (regardless of race) can celebrate and learn the unique aspects of various cultures such as Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, and more. Through cooking a large selection of Asian dishes, karaoke, visiting local Asian establishments, we will teach Ravenwood students to embrace Asian culture and festivities.

AYCE

To represent Asian culture. Also, will showcase Bollywood dance and spread the love of dance.

Bioinformatics Club

Through inter disciplinary engagement, members will cultivate skills spanning biology, computer science, and data analysis. Members will be able to equip themselves with versatile experience that holds relevance across all STEM fields. Will use tools applicable to genetics, drug discovery, personalized medicine and more.

Biological Breakthroughs

Students attend meetings to showcase presentations and research on medical, scientific, and other “sociological” topics. Topics are introduced at the beginning of the month and students research and present projects at the end of the month.

Biology Olympiad

Gather students interested in biology to compete in National USA BO competition. Potential topic review sessions.

Black Alliance Club

The purpose of Black Alliance is to provide a community for all students, especially those of African American, African, or Carribbean descent. We work to advocate for students as well as planning activities and fundraisers to benefit the community.

Blue Ocean Entrepreneurship

Providing students with an opportunity to compete in an international competition in which students create and present a unique idea and construct a pitch for their product.

Book Club

The purpose of the club is to read and discuss one book per month.

Bookin' It Club

To provide children in Nashville with the ability to read more. We want to hold book drives throughout the year, which wil then be donated to the Nashville public libraries children's section.

Car Club

Create a community for people who enjoy cars to talk and get together and share their own cars and love for them.

Care for Refugees

Care for refugees works with nation’s ministry in attempts to help[ refugee children with school work, as well as to enrich their English abilities & skills while passively giving club members chances to helpfully volunteer in their community.

Chess Club

To learn, teach, and play chess with others and compete in tournaments with each other and against other schools.

Children's Hospital Volunteering Club

Donate and volunteer to hospitals and support the health of children in these hospitals. Show the importance of supporting these hospitals and children.

Community Service Club

To plan and execute volunteer activities within the school and local community, such as food drives, charity fundraisers, community clean-up, environmental projects, elderly assistance, hospital volunteer work, etc.

Creative Writing Club

The purpose of the club is to write and expand literacy skills fostering creativity in young writers

Cricket Club

To promote the game of cricket among RHS students; to provide opportunity for students to participate in physical exercise; to grant students a fun activity with friends to take away from stresses of high school.

Crochet for a Cause

Crochet warm winter gear to those who may need them.

Dance Marathon

Dance Marathon raises money for Vanderbilt Children's Hospital through various fundraisers as well as the big event. The big event, out fundraising push day and reveal day, is planned by various committees of students in our club to create a cohesive, fun event. All the money fundraised will go toward a designated part of the hospital, such as the NICU, to help and support the treatment and health of young kids.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

To meet and hold bible studies for all students who wish to participate. We intend to discuss biblical passages that relate to the athlete/student’s lives. It would also serve as a community for Christian students at Ravenwood.

Film for a Cause

To bring high schoolers the opportunity to make videos for local charities/organizations to promote them. They get to practice filmmaking while promoting free advertising for good causes.

To promote students to get more community service hours, as well as making a positive impact on animals who need a home. Build a sense of community with people who have a shared interest, while making something that can continue without us.

Future Problem Solvers

International competition that teaches students a 6-step problem solving process to make a global and community problems. We would start a team here at Ravenwood to compete in a national conference.

Games Club

To play DND and other board games and introduce different games to people who are interested.

Gardening Club

To create gardens in front of Ravenwood in order to bring the school beauty and educate students about conserving the environment.

Gender Sexuality Alliance

The purpose of the club is to provide LGBTQ+ students with a safe place and to work with other LGBTQ+ groups.

German Club

To promote German culture in Ravenwood and encourage interest in learning about German and/or learning the language.

Girls Car Club

Teaching girls how to maintain their vehicles and safety checks to prevent accidents. Also, to better be involved in the car community.

Habitat for Humanity

We raise money for families in the Nashville area to help them build and improve their homes. We also contribute to the efforts of the house builds by organizing build events.

iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machines) Club

As defined by the iGEM website (igem.org), the iGEM Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of synthetic biology, education and competition, and the development of an open, collaborative, and cooperative community. This club will bring guest speakers to the school, host fundraisers, and compete in lab research.

To provide students with a platform to showcase their skills in Architecture, Interior Design, and Engineering. This club also gives students an opportunity to win school level awards and to collaborate with other students on their passion projects. Students will have the chance to sign up for national competitions (eg ACSA).

Interact Club

Interact Club is the national affiliate to Rotary Club and is a community service oriented club. By participating in food drives, clothing donations, campus clean-ups, appreciation drives, and other volunteer opportunities, members of Interact Club can give back to the community.

Jesus Club

The purpose of Jesus Club is to create a close-knit group of people dedicated to sharing and showing the love of Jesus. This club will be an outlet to other students with questions, as well as establishing a bible study plan with the leaders.

Jewish Student Union

For people of all cultures to learn about Judaism and Jewish culture. Bring awareness to antisemitism.

Just Serve Club

The purpose of Just Serve is to get high schoolers involved in meaningful community service projects. It is intended as an opportunity for people to get involved in the community and help address important needs here in our community.

Key Club

To create opportunities for students to provide service, build character, and develop leadership. Also, to create a space for students to practice giving back and build connections in their community.

Lab Rats

The purpose of the club is to perform lab experiments that Ravenwood students many not get to do in class.

Letters for Service

To write cards to seniors in assisted living in exchange for 30 minutes of volunteer hours per card a student makes. The student would receive an email that they could link the volunteer hours to which would be from whichever senior home they write cards to.

Make-A-Wish

Make A Wish club works to raise money for the Tennessee Make A Wish chapter, which collects funds to fulfill the wishes of terminally ill children. Through fundraising events, our communities brainstorm creative ways to involve our school in contributing to this great cause.

MakerSpace

To present a space for students to be creative engineers by providing adequate resources. The club also helps foster any engineering projects that would like to be developed.

Mental Health Awareness

To spread awareness of mental health by educating members and fundraise to donate to different organizations while break the stigma.

The purpose of this club is to allow students the freedom to create the projects that they want to , in any way they want to, according to the set RHS TV/Film guidelines.

Mountaineering Club

To create a community that can explore nature, hiking, and rock climbing. We are finding a way to connect with others while being active.

Muslim Student Association

Build unity and educate muslims as well as non-muslims throughout Ravenwood. Provide programs and activities for people of all backgrounds and levels of knowledge.

Pep Band Club

Perform pep tunes at sporting events and potentially other school events and activities.

Pickleball Club

Promote the sport of pickleball while teaching and improving skills. Compete against other pickleball clubs.

Ravenwood Ambassadors for Cancer Research

This club participates in activities to promote the importance of cancer research: which includes working and partnering with organizations that fundraise to support cancer research such as VICC or American Breast Cancer Foundation to spearhead outreach to the Williamson County School area.

Ravenwood OCSM

Club for Coptic Orthodox Christians. Reason for club is to have a designated area for prayer and socializing for community.

Red Cross Club

This club provides RHS students with opportunities to make a meaningful impact in our community by addressing its crucial needs and developing leadership skills.

RHS Artistic Outreach

Gather a group of volunteers to perform around the community (musicians, theater, art). Could provide volunteer hours (NHS, Tri-M). Performance location ideas: Morning Pointe Retirement Home, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, etc.

RHS Girls Up

Girl Up was founded by the UN Foundation in 2010 as an initiative to help support UN agencies that focus on adolescent girls. Across county high schools open chapters and Ravenwood would be a great place to do this as well.

RHS Mainstream

This club would serve to effectively communicate information to the Ravenwood student body about upcoming events and opportunities they can be a part of. Our goal is to improve communication between students and administration/teachers to help unify the Ravenwood community.

Science Finds Club

The purpose of this club is to provide opportunities to connect peers with one another through volunteering and professional guest speaker lectures. Working on the communication and interpersonal skills that are a necessity for any STEM career in the future.

St. Jude Club

To raise money and awareness for St. Jude Children's Cancer Research Hospital.

Students Demand Action Club

To create a Ravenwood chapter of the national student led organization, Students Demand Action, so studens can have a safe and supportive place to learn, educate, and advocate for gun safety and safe schools for all students.

Table Tennis Club

A community where students can have fun and be competitive while playing table tennis.

Table Top Games Club

Table top games encourage critical thinking, collaboration and problem solving skills. It's also a good way for students to connect and meet other students.

Tunes for Kidz

To raise money to donate musical instruments to kids with an interest in music. We want to provide volunteer opportunities for high schoolers to share their passion for music with others.

VucaLab

To teach entrepreneurship in a hands-on manner. To educate Ravenwood students about skills like presentational speaking, sales tactics, handling business/finance risks.

Wall Street

To discuss stock market strategies involved in investing including risk management, time horizons, and allocation of capital. Students will have the opportunity to compete against a portfolio benchmark (S&P 500) and each other through a simulated stock market game (Market Watchgame). Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the different types of stock accounts and assets.

Water Polo Club

To form a local high school water polo team, compete in tournaments, and introduce the sport to Tennessee students.

Wise Women in Science and Engineering

This club aims to bridge the gaps for women in STEM fields. The club will aim at empowering young women to pursue STEM jobs by inviting guest speakers and creating a safe space to discuss major topics.

World and European History Trivia Club

To quiz over European and World History in an interesting and competitive way.

World Issue Socratic Seminar Club

Organization for learning about and discussing various issues around the world through different perspectives. These issues include but are not limited to domestic issues, global politics/events, and new developments in business and science.

XHunger

To volunteer at local food banks, host events to raise money for foodbanks, and build relationships with Nashville families slipping through the cracks. The club also strives to make relationships with Williamson county families to make resources readily available to those in need.
